Volunteer Blood Donation Enrolment Form
We are looking for volunteers to donate blood for our platelet research.
Blood samples are taken at our lab (BioCity Nottingham, Pennyfoot Street) and will take just 15 minutes of your time. As a thank you, you will receive Amazon gift vouchers. Please fill out the form below to register your interest. We will then contact you to arrange a pre-screening.
All information provided to us is kept in strict confidentiality, and never shared with anyone else.
You cannot donate if:
• You have been diagnosed with AIDS/HIV, Hepatitis B or C or any other blood borne infectious disease.
• You have any medical problems like asthma, diabetes, epilepsy, anaemia, or any condition associated with excessive blood loss.
• You are pregnant or have recently given birth.
• If you weigh less than 50 kg.
• If you are taking medication (e.g. NSAIDS, aspirin) that’s known to effect platelets.
